Lucas and Nathan Scott are half-brothers. One might think that as brothers, they appreciate it is far from true! Lucas was raised by his mother, his father taking care of her other son Nathan. Apart from the same father, these two have almost nothing in common: basketball and girls ... 
Throughout the episodes, the two brothers will get to know and live in the same city. They will bond with James Haley (Best Friend future Lucas and Nathan's girlfriend) and Brooke Davis Peyton Sawyer. Brooke and Peyton are both friends but that friendship is threatened by Lucas who can not make his choice between the two girls ... Haley, meanwhile, will see his friendship with Lucas on the hot seat because of its rapprochement with Nathan.
In addition to the rivalry with the girls, two brothers are part of the basketball team but can not play together ... Nathan resents the competition with his brother and Lucas is tired of being tested for the team ...
All this changes with the seasons ...

Mia Catalano appears at the beginning of season 5.
Mia Catalano is part of the group produced by Jason Haley discovers Peyton, but behind the arrogance of Mia, a young girl she believes is the soul of the group and convinces Peyton to produce it. Mia hesitated but is convinced. It is close to Peyton and Haley, and his first songs and performances are exceptional, she signed an agreement with Peyton at a big label.
She goes back on tour and then Peyton and Haley see the end of the season. She made a commercial for "Rock the Vote" and Peyton thanks for everything she has done for her.
